I have been playing with a new Triquint ULNA device (TQP3M9036). It
Shows a lot of promise. It is like a MAR or MSA device in that it is
50ohm in and out. and has a claimed NF about .4db nf ( their numbers).
I have built several pramps to test them and have gotten even better
than they claim and they cover 50-1296 with ease and NF is .4ish or
below. The S11 and S22 are both great and the OIP3 is +35db also
...very nice device. It has great promise as a good terrestrial LNA.
Preamps are foolproof to build and would cost under $50 if all the best
quality parts are used.

Hi all,
I’m ready on 6cm with the same dish I’m using on 3cm.
Despite the strong local 5 GHz WiFi noise, had a nice 579/569 first QSO with this setup today with HB9Q, thank you Dan !
Setup is a 3.7m dish and 60W at CP feeder.
I can be QRV on 6cm or 3cm most of the days, skeds and tests are very welcome, as usual.

I stumbled on this site and discovered interresting things.
2m Dual-RX (Special RX converter for 2m adaptive (EME) receiving)

ME2-XP 2m dual RX (EME) transverter (The first dual RX color display
transverter on the World!)

Does anyone have feedback from one of these 2 devices?
It sounds interesting but I'm looking for someone who has this kind of
device to exchange feedback, especially with the use of MAP65 (setup -
configuration).

After using WSJT V9 for a few years I recently started using WSJT-X as a
second decoder. Sometimes it is better, sometimes not. It has the advantage
that it decodes when one station is calling another (V9 only does this for
strong stations).
One issue I am having is that the Average window in X sometimes shows
stations that I decoded way earlier...sometimes an hour or more earlier and
on a different frequency.
If I click Clear Avg or double-click Erase, the window clears. But a while
later, old decodes once again start to show up in the Average window.
V9 does not have this problem.
I have been using V2.0...today I moved to V2.1.2 and maybe that will be
better. Waiting for MR here.
Has anyone else experienced this behavior?
Does anyone know if that was a bug in the earlier version and fixed in
2.1.2 or can some one suggest what setting I may have set incorrectly?
Thanks & 73,

Hello fellow eme operators
I have acquired a nice 1.8 meter dish. Offset feed. It was part of a commercial k/u band satellite data uplink. Fiberglass. Cleaned up nicely. Shallow dish. The f/d is 0.65. Perfect for 10ghz as is.
But I want to first try it on 23 cm. I need advice on what feed to use. Offset. Circular polarization.
Need advice.
I am 80 years old and not likely to build a feed. What is available off the shelf?
