I have been playing with a new Triquint ULNA device (TQP3M9036). It
Shows a lot of promise. It is like a MAR or MSA device in that it is
50ohm in and out. and has a claimed NF about .4db nf ( their numbers).
I have built several pramps to test them and have gotten even better
than they claim and they cover 50-1296 with ease and NF is .4ish or
below. The S11 and S22 are both great and the OIP3 is +35db also
...very nice device. It has great promise as a good terrestrial LNA.
Preamps are foolproof to build and would cost under $50 if all the best
quality parts are used.
Just for information only ...

Hi all,
I’m ready on 6cm with the same dish I’m using on 3cm.
Despite the strong local 5 GHz WiFi noise, had a nice 579/569 first QSO with this setup today with HB9Q, thank you Dan !
Setup is a 3.7m dish and 60W at CP feeder.
I can be QRV on 6cm or 3cm most of the days, skeds and tests are very welcome, as usual.

I stumbled on this site and discovered interresting things.
2m Dual-RX (Special RX converter for 2m adaptive (EME) receiving)
http://www.ha1ya.hu/htmkepek/dual_rx.htm
ME2-XP 2m dual RX (EME) transverter (The first dual RX color display
transverter on the World!)
http://www.ha1ya.hu/htmkepek/me2xp_spec.htm
Does anyone have feedback from one of these 2 devices?
It sounds interesting but I'm looking for someone who has this kind of
device to exchange feedback, especially with the use of MAP65 (setup -
configuration).

After using WSJT V9 for a few years I recently started using WSJT-X as a
second decoder. Sometimes it is better, sometimes not. It has the advantage
that it decodes when one station is calling another (V9 only does this for
strong stations).
One issue I am having is that the Average window in X sometimes shows
stations that I decoded way earlier...sometimes an hour or more earlier and
on a different frequency.
If I click Clear Avg or double-click Erase, the window clears. But a while
later, old decodes once again start to show up in the Average window.
V9 does not have this problem.
I have been using V2.0...today I moved to V2.1.2 and maybe that will be
better. Waiting for MR here.
Has anyone else experienced this behavior?
Does anyone know if that was a bug in the earlier version and fixed in
2.1.2 or can some one suggest what setting I may have set incorrectly?
Thanks & 73,
Doug K1DG
Hello all,
Attached is a short video of RFI i'm experiencing on 23cm. Certainly is
from a doppler radar installation about 1 mile from QTH. I'm rx now with a
45el loop yagi and even pointing at sky due have the interference. I have
been able to see a couple eme signals but not sure how many stations should
be seen with a single yagi on 23cm ( complete newbie there)
Should I copy a bunch? Right now on 432 I'm using 2 x 30el and results
are amazing.
Here is the disjunctive, I would like to QRV on the band but not sure if
it will be posible from here. The yagi antenna is collocated with the
2m/70cm setup and in full line of sight of radar domes. I have easy access
to a 2 meters offset dish and can install in a place with some buildings
hiding the radar site. But not sure if it really worth it due to work
involved in the installation and building a suitable feed system for it.
If I decide to go ahead with it will probably look into an amplifier in
the 200w level and may look into a bigger antenna (3m prime focus) but
wouldn't like to commit the resources to found out even doing that the RFI
is too much.
All advice on this will be appreciated.

Hello Zdenek, and organization committee,
I believe that most of us were expecting this update as the situation is better in many places but …. the noise form Covid is still high and we need a good S/N to enjoy the conference !
Thanks to all for your effort ! …. see you on the moon and, most important, see you in Prague in 2021 !

Subject: [Moon-Net] EME conference 2020
Information on the EME conference 2020 in Prague.
Dear OMs, as promised in March we provide information on the current state of preparation of the EME 2020 conference in Prague. As you all know, due to COVID19, traveling has been greatly reduced and many of you may not be able to come. Generally the situation regarding the COVID19 is good in the Czech Republic and from June 15th it will be possible to travel freely across the border. Also as of June, up to 300 people are allowed to rally at one place. We have everything ready, including lectures and press proceedings. So nothing prevents us from holding the conference, but…
As very few of us are expected to be able to attend, the organizing committee decided, after considering all the pros and cons, to postpone the conference until next year. The date is therefore changed to 19.8.– 22.8.2021. We have negotiated with the hotel and other companies that help us with the conference. The outcome of the negotiations is as following:
1. Top Hotel leaves your booking in effect and only adjusts the date of your bookings. It also leaves all prices without change as set for this year. So there is no change in the price of the conference fee.
2. The transport company and the accompanying program companies will change our dates for 2021, but prices are not yet agreed. We hope they will not change. In the event of a price change, it will certainly not be a dramatic increase and we would agree on a payment change for already registered participants individually. We have everything carefully registered.
3. Everything else remains as planned in 2020 and we will be refining the details on our website <http://www.eme2020.cz/> www.eme2020.cz.
We hope you will understand the change and we'll see you in 2021. Most of us are already in the 60+ age group, which is fundamentally affected by COVID19. This was also one of the reasons why we decided to make this change. We look forward to seeing you in 2021.
On behalf of organization committee

Wise decision Zednek, I and my son Giulio (iw3hvb) had not yet decided
whether
to participate this year given the current world conditions.
Unfortunately the premises were not good, and Giulio had canceled the June
DXpedition to French Polynesia. and still has the hope of being able to
do it next year.
Postponing the conference for the next year is certainly the best thing.
