I have been playing with a new Triquint ULNA device (TQP3M9036). It
Shows a lot of promise. It is like a MAR or MSA device in that it is
50ohm in and out. and has a claimed NF about .4db nf ( their numbers).
I have built several pramps to test them and have gotten even better
than they claim and they cover 50-1296 with ease and NF is .4ish or
below. The S11 and S22 are both great and the OIP3 is +35db also
...very nice device. It has great promise as a good terrestrial LNA.
Preamps are foolproof to build and would cost under $50 if all the best
quality parts are used.

Hi all,
I’m ready on 6cm with the same dish I’m using on 3cm.
Despite the strong local 5 GHz WiFi noise, had a nice 579/569 first QSO with this setup today with HB9Q, thank you Dan !
Setup is a 3.7m dish and 60W at CP feeder.
I can be QRV on 6cm or 3cm most of the days, skeds and tests are very welcome, as usual.

I stumbled on this site and discovered interresting things.
2m Dual-RX (Special RX converter for 2m adaptive (EME) receiving)
http://www.ha1ya.hu/htmkepek/dual_rx.htm
ME2-XP 2m dual RX (EME) transverter (The first dual RX color display
transverter on the World!)
http://www.ha1ya.hu/htmkepek/me2xp_spec.htm
Does anyone have feedback from one of these 2 devices?
It sounds interesting but I'm looking for someone who has this kind of
device to exchange feedback, especially with the use of MAP65 (setup -
configuration).

Hi mooners,
For 10Ghz only one preamp is available and we will close further production after delivering more then 100 pcs.
We expect a crowed band in the coming time,hi.
We are currently preparingthe first batch of a super LNA for 24Ghz with NF: 1.1dB
Furthemore we would like feedback for the design and production of an 24Ghz SSPA.
Design goal is: 10Watt rf out, Vdc: 15Vd and WG connections. We will design against a reasonable price but need your feedback.
Thanks in advance,
Jan PAoPLY
Hello everyone:
I seek to add a camera to the center of my EME array to know when it¹s
on/off the moon.
Requirements:
1. wired camera (not wireless nor Bluetooth),
2. CCTV type is OK if available
3. All weather capable 20 deg F through 110 deg. F
4. Reliable all the time
5. Monochromatic or color (either one) is OK
I recall there was some detail about viewing the moon that a certain focal
length (lens) is best and I¹d welcome (please) camera recommendations
available today.
Questions:
What specific camera manufacturer and model do you recommend?
What specific monitor (manufacturer and model) recommended?
What cable type is required? (impedance, number of conductors and gauge
for 150 foot or 48 meter length)
Thank you; very 73,
Dave KJ9I
Dears EMEfans,
I invite you to send your log will be appreciated, also with only one
qso, end-time Monday June 18th.All format areaccepted, better if xls.

I am almost done with firmware for MABMPU simple controller. This is a potential replacement for DRO levels that can be expanded in the future to work with various popular EME trackers like RazTrak, DrzTrack, OE5JFL, F1EHN.
In order to use this setup, one MABMPU encoder board takes on role of the controller and reads the US Digital SEI bus encoders and displays the results on the LCD. This simple controller works with US Digital A2 and A2T encoders or MABMPU encoder board (using MAB25, MAB28, ETS25 or MPU9150 inclinometer).
Power (+12VDC) is provided to the encoders over the 6-wire CAT-3 cable from the MABMPU simple controller. In theory, the US Digital SEI bus can drive cables over 100m.
For those that already have a EME tracker which utilizes US Digital encoders, I have a version of the MABMPU LCD firmware that monitors the SEI encoder bus for encoder read position commands and simply displays the positions on the LCD display. In this configuration, the power to the MABMPU monitor is obtained from the SEI 6-wire bus.

Hello All,
So far the setup perfoms well. I just had a ERA5SM failure in the STM1000
TX module (144/1296) of the LT230s 28/1296 transverter. Now fixed. Tks to
FR5CU and F6ETI who sent me one of their stock! It is time for me to get
some spare parts here on my own shack, as operation is OK now...
I have missed TO2MB because of my LO, which is drifting some 20Hz during
the first 30 secondes of a JT65 sequence... Easy to see it with SDR. 28 and
144 are both stable. The 20Hz drift + MS doppler could not be decoded, but
seen...
This 20Hz drift happens with just PTT engaged, no power output. At full
output, drift stays almost the same, sometimes only up to 23-25Hz, not
more. LO 1152Mhz is provided from the UEK1000 RX module.
The fan speed is faster when PTT on. So I connected the fan for constant
speed RX and TX, and still the 20Hz drift. Tried to fill the UEK1000 box
with cotton, to try to isolate any thermal drift, specially around the
96Mhz cristal, coils etc, but not the transistors. Same situation.
If i keep PTT engaged for 2 or 3 JT sequences, the LO is stable (within 2
to 5 Hz) after the first 30s.
Hope the situation will not get worse and let me make some more qso's on
23...
41 qsos made so far JT and CW. Tks to Philippe F6ETI for the +200w PA, that
i do not run full output on JT (100w or less at feed). On cw, i calculated
i have about 150w on the feed.
Hope to be qrv for next month DUBUS contest.
