I have been playing with a new Triquint ULNA device (TQP3M9036). It
Shows a lot of promise. It is like a MAR or MSA device in that it is
50ohm in and out. and has a claimed NF about .4db nf ( their numbers).
I have built several pramps to test them and have gotten even better
than they claim and they cover 50-1296 with ease and NF is .4ish or
below. The S11 and S22 are both great and the OIP3 is +35db also
...very nice device. It has great promise as a good terrestrial LNA.
Preamps are foolproof to build and would cost under $50 if all the best
quality parts are used.
Just for information only ...

Hi all,
I’m ready on 6cm with the same dish I’m using on 3cm.
Despite the strong local 5 GHz WiFi noise, had a nice 579/569 first QSO with this setup today with HB9Q, thank you Dan !
Setup is a 3.7m dish and 60W at CP feeder.
I can be QRV on 6cm or 3cm most of the days, skeds and tests are very welcome, as usual.

qrv 70cm, 33cm, 23cm, 13cm, 9cm, 6cm and 3cm.
This weekend I operated 6cm using just 16 Watts to a 1.9m PF dish with an
SM6FHZ septum feed (kindly loaned to me by G3LTF) On RX, a single stage
0.9dB LNA based on a "Franco" LNB board. See RSGB RadCom "GHz Bands" column
July 2014 for details.
I had 7.5dB sun noise and 0,25dB Moon noise.
On CW I worked OK1KIR, HB9Q and DF3RU. "Gotaways" on CW were OK1CA, OF2DG,
ES5PC, PY2BS all identified calling CQ. I need more power!
On JT4F I worked HB9Q, OK1KIR, OK1CA UA3PTW, OZ1LPR and PY2BS.
A good start to the 6cm project at G4BAO. Watch this space, more power
planned!

Hello Lunatics,
An update was announced on my computer.
Not sure it was installed properly but now my WSJT programms do not work anymore.
Not even after a new installation.
Error message: too many audio channels
Youcan only work off line.
Errorcode channels -0008.
Anyone who can guide me to get this solved?

Hi all.
When posting the IQ-recordings from the GB6GHY operation I had the
opportunity to post some IQ-recordings made at the SK6OSO 23cm operation in
July 2013.
On July 14th 2013, during the SK6OSO 23 cm operation from Onsala Space
Observatory 26.5m dish, all stations were asked to transmit via the Moon
during two 3 minutes periods and IQ-recordings were made a SK6OSO to
communicate how signals sounded from our observing point. The recordings
covers from 1296.000 to 1296.080 MHz.
These IQ-recordings are now posted at my web-site and can be downloaded and
played in SDR-console. The files are about 25 MB each and there is a total
of 6 files, three for each listening period.
http://2ingandlin.se/IQ_recordings.html
We hope you enjoy listening to all the signals present in the recordings
including ON0EME.

I have some neat relays & couplers to share and this time I have kept
several of each for myself hi-hi.
1. I have some very clean (9.2/10) Anritsu, 12 V, SPDT, SMA, DC-13 GHz
relays. The only real wear marks on them are from them hitting each
other in the box they were kept in. Just for fun several were swept up
to 18 GHz and found the I.L. to max out at about 0.5 dB with a SWR of
less than 1.4:1.
What makes these relays fascinating to me is the way the contacts can be
energized. The connector is a standard 3-pin Molex type. The center pin
is common. One side of center will energize one coil, the other side
will energize the other coil. Because this relay has two independent
coils (one for each port) you can energize one coil, or two, and use the
relay as a normal SPDT relay or to make it a "T" connection where all 3
SMA ports are connected to each other. Either AC or DC can be used & the
coil draws about 30 mA. They have a very nice 1/8" thick aluminum
mounting plate making mounting them a snap. I will start with making 45
available & asking $15 each plus shipping. I just had to take one apart,
was neat to see the high quality build & all that gold.

2. I have some Radiall, 24-28 VDC, SP6T, SMA, DC-18 GHz rated relays.
These relays were installed in some specialized com racks but the racks
were never sold and then dismantled so they are very clean (I would call
them near pristine 9.7/10). They are rated at 240 watts (ave pwr) up to
3 GHz, and down to 100 Watts (ave pwr) up at 18 GHz, with a port-to-port
isolation of 80 dB (down to 60 dB at 18 GHz). The coils draw about 100
mA and each relay contact is rated for up to 5 million cycles.
What makes these relays really amazing (other than their awesome specs)
are that they have a small PCB mounted to the contacts already ! The PCB
uses a standard 20-pin DIP connector to access all of the required
contacts and there are 6 LED's that indicate which port is being
energized. There is also a protection diode on the PCB. I only have 18
and asking $45 each.

3. I have about 25 used 4-port 1 GHz - 2 GHz directional couplers. I
tested several of them and they had around 30 dB directivity, less than
1 dB I.L. and coupling very close to their rated 10dB. They are very
clean but do show signs of nicks and little paint chips missing from
them hitting each other in the box that held them. Asking $10 each.

Preference given to anyone who wants to purchase an entire lot. Not
every one of these items has been tested for specs etc and are being
sold as-is. PayPal or personal checks are aok. Thanks !
