I have been playing with a new Triquint ULNA device (TQP3M9036). It
Shows a lot of promise. It is like a MAR or MSA device in that it is
50ohm in and out. and has a claimed NF about .4db nf ( their numbers).
I have built several pramps to test them and have gotten even better
than they claim and they cover 50-1296 with ease and NF is .4ish or
below. The S11 and S22 are both great and the OIP3 is +35db also
...very nice device. It has great promise as a good terrestrial LNA.
Preamps are foolproof to build and would cost under $50 if all the best
quality parts are used.
Just for information only ...

Hello moonbouncers,
There was very nice CW activity during ARRL contest this year (on all bands except 2m from US) and it is unfortunate I did not have a lot of free time for it.
I also “worked” JT65 logger eme (I thought: who is going to find out anyway??) and apart from constant chatter I also found JAMMING.... a lot of Jamming, even from its own creator!!?
Check a small part of it from N0UK logger:
11/19 17:04 VE3KH you being jammed by K1JT and W6YX (W7IUV Larry WA DN07dg 216.215.40.193)
11/19 17:05 Why Larry .... they on 142 also? (VE3KH Kevin ON FN03aj 24.141.203.45)
11/19 17:06 They are calling me to get a contest poitn and it ain't gonna happen!! (W7IUV Larry WA DN07dg 216.215.40.193)
11/19 17:08 Thansk Larry 73 ... Yes, I have been jumped by a quite a few stations (VE3KH Kevin ON FN03aj 24.141.203.45)
11/20 17:47 Also hr k1jt calling me -22 but not ans him (KN4SM/5WL/KW Jerry VA FM16qt 24.241.251.86)
11/20 18:02 Contest = reduced courtesy! (K5DOG/2M Stevedog NM DM52xw 65.127.140.122)
11/20 18:04 Yes, K1JT and W3SZ can hear on gold tooth. (K5DOG/2M Stevedog NM DM52xw 65.127.140.122)
One thing I wouldn’t regret missing on EME is JAMMING!!!

Has anyone used the new OM Power OM1200 KW SSPA? I was looking at it on their website at
http://www.om-power.com/om1002
Looks nice, has built in p/s and digital metering, rated 900w for digital modes.
It uses the Freescale FET and appears similar in design to the M2 2M-1K2, see
http://www.m2inc.com/pdf_manuals/2M-1K2%20SPECIFICATIONS.pdf
and the W6PQL, see
http://www.w6pql.com/1_kw_2m_ldmos_amplifier.htm
The OM Power model is a few hundred dollars less than the others (at least if picked up in Slovakia, where I have my summer QTH) but the others claim a bit higher output. OM Power also has a 6m version, as does M2, but not W6PQL. W6PQL has a 222mhz and a 432mhz version.
Hi all,
Where could I find any article or document about how I must handle the
Doppler issue when we are working moonbounce?
When I see in the WSJT software that doppler is +1KHz and my partner
see -1 KHz, if we sked in 432.066, Which frequency should we choose to
TX and RX? Which is the current rule or agreement?
I am aware that if all of us had a SDR recevier with a 90KHz
waterfall, we will not be worried about doppler, but to make a contact
where we can´t ear our partner it is very difficult. To hit the
target is our best weapon.
Sri for this beginner question.

Some time ago there were a lot of Ericsson couplers floating around (model KRF 111 063/1). Has anybody used one? Should be straightforward enough to experiment with, but would be interested to know if anybody is using one on 432MHz.

Thanks everyone for the good advice.
I have purchased a DowKey 412 transfer switch for the job. I'm sure it'll
be a long term valuable bit of kit for EME. I'll keep the signal paths out
to the antenna array totally separate for RX and TX so only the one transfer
switch is required.

Hi All,
I am looking for addresses to UA5Y and UR7D. Letter to UR7D bounced back.
If anybody needs my QSL card, please let me know, I'be glad to QSL.
